The MRI Results are in, here they are. Man I did well, you'll see : )
Numerous abnormalities are present.o great. There is a tear at the far posterior one third of the lateral meniscus. In the knee there are cartilage pads which the bones sit on and rub against. The outside(lateral) one has been torn in the back third of it. There is a complex menisci tear at the periphery of the posterior one half of the medial meniscus. The inside one is also torn. fiber disruption and high signal at superior and mid portions of ACL consistent with complete tear.Basically the ACL is completely torn : )PCL is normal Joy one thing I didn’t tear, it is kinda like the ACL, just goes a different direction.Moderate sized joint effusion.not quite sure, have to ask.Large amount of soft tissue edema posterior to the knee, and dissecting inferiorly.Yeah right I know what that means ha.There is some edema within the musculature posterior to the proximal fibula, consistent with a partial tear at the soleus here. The Soleus is slightly torn. There is some high signal within the superior portion of the popliteus muscle as well, suspicious for strain or partial tear here.Hmm, doesn't sound greatMultifocal bone bruises are present, largest at posterior aspects of lateral and medial tibia plateaus, also with bone bruise at lateral femoral condoyle. got some bone bruising.Slight component of cortical impaction at lateral femoral condoyle, probably with underlying articular cartilage narrowing.not sure have to ask. There is also some ederna and heterogeneous high signal at some of the gastronomies insertion sites, suspicious for partial tear or strain.Something is strained or slightly torn. There is also considerable edema and heterogeneity in region of plantaris muscle, suspicious for plantaris tear or rupture.O maybe the edema word just means lots of fluid??? Something in the back is busted, well what is new. OPTION:
I initially felt the bones in my leg kinda twist apart, and it was the worst pain i have ever felt in my life. The sports medicine guy at the field said all the ligaments were tight, and that it didnt seem like it was going to be an acl. The trainer at school said about the same thing three days later. My doctor on Wednesday said about the same, but just had the mri to make sure it wasnt an acl or cartalage dammage. it may have something to doo with the fact that my legs are like tree trunks, they preformed all the usal tests, but maybe they just couldn't feel the right stuff maybe, i don't know. I started to walk on my leg on tuesday without crutches and was gettig good at it. My legs were extremely stiff, and my calf muscle cramped up continuoulsly. I think in the initial injury i pulled my hamstring, so that hurt lots all the time. I also couldn't bend my leg back as easily or as far as my right one. I could and can now(mon the 14) bend it about 130 or 140 degrees at most. where as my right leg can go to 180 degrees. I cant flex, bend my left leg all the way flat, to be able to lift my heel off the ground. Where as in my right leg i can. My left leg is swollen majorly, my knee was about 1.5 times as big as my right knee. Under my knee cap, on my left leg, the leg just transitions to the shinn, without any defined knee cap or muscle or whatever. The right knee is more defined than the left. I think there is some fluid, or something in the base of the left knee area, maybe the acl is there right now because it certinly isn't connected inside of my knee. Also my leg below my knee on my left leg also swelled up like my knee to about 1.5ish times that of my right. After i ice, my leg i very stiff, and just a heads up, stretch your calf gently, it will be tight. i think that is it for the moment. |
